J1: Non-regulation postcard mailed with a 1¢ Edward tied by Trenton 23 FE 09 cds to Bismark, Ont, card has an attached ‘envelope’ on picture side, this was not permitted so although card was franked with the 1¢ postcard rate, it was charged at the 2¢ letter rate and was stamped ‘INSUFFICIENTLY PRE-PAID’ and double the deficiency (2¢) was collected on receipt (same day) paid by a pair of the 1¢ violet Postage Due first issue tied by grids, a couple of light card stains, etc, still scarce.
