image 1883/1889: Appendix sheet from the De La Rue records, first proposed in 1883 but sufficient stocks were still at hand, with examples (9) shown as "Existing Colours" of which six: in green, rose, blue, slate, lilac and orange are without Duty Plates, the 6 c. brown, 48 c. red-brown and 96 c. olive-bistre as issued in 1876 but all nine stamps are perforated 12 (instead of 14); notations made for placing British Guiana in line with the UPU proposed colours "established by the International Postal Convention for stamps of the value of ½ d. and 1 d." in manuscript. A truly lovely page, illustrated in the 'De La Collection' edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 2323. Unique. (Image 1) (Image)
