image 1870, Washington in Numeral "1", C.B.N.Co. essay, large die essay in green (Scott 145-E1C var.), die-sunk on card with C.B.N.Co. oval datestamp, Dec 30, 1869; slightly reduced to 145 x 236 mm; card very lighty foxed and tiny pinhole at the lower left, otherwise Very Fine and exceedingly rare.

Issue complete, large die proofs on India on card (Scott 145P1-155P1), the 1¢ 2¢ 3¢ 7¢ & 90 with the National Bank Note Co. imprint at the bottom, all neatly reduced to 71 x 97 mm, exceptionally fresh colors; the 2¢ 15¢ & 30¢ each with a small, very light stain in the margin of the proof, the 3¢ & 6¢ each with some toning on the card, otherwise Very Fine. Rarely seen as a complete set.
