The lilac overprints are exceedingly rare. According to Carlson R. Chambliss (p. 141), "the red overprints are rare enough but the lilac overprints appear to be so rare that they are absent even from the very finest Yemeni collections". Only a few intact blocks in this color are believed to have survived.
