Fiji Mint Never Hinged Collection Complete from 1935 to 1987, then continuing with 40 more sets, 14 souvenir sheets and 7 FDCs to 2019, providing a great basis for continuation. Many of the sets and souvenir sheets from 1988 to 2019 are related to the topic of birds. An extensive check of the earlier material only found one stamp, Scott 131A, to be lightly hinged. Catalogue value indicated does not include the 7 FDCs. Very fine. (Image)

France Valuable Old Time Stock of Early Used Issues, 1849 to 1900, with about 1,770 stamps, all neatly displayed on 23 stock pages in a stockbook, identified by owner by Yvert & Tellier numbers with older French franc prices. Starts off strong with Scott #s 1, 3 (x9), 6 (x14), 11 (x29), 12 (x9), 13 (x11), 14 (x41), 15 (x110), 18 (x66), 19 (x12), 22 (x14), 23 (x31), 25 (x43), 26 (x66), 27 (x66), 28 (x12), 29 (x13), 30 (x11), 32 (x11), 33 (x41), 34 (x26), 35 (x14), 36 (x6), 37 (x2), 38 (x4), 39, 40 (x2), 41 (x2), 42 (x3), 43/45 (x19), 46, 47 (x3), 48 (x3), 50 (x22), 51 (x24), 52 (x11), 53 (x58), 54/55 (x15), 56 (x31), 57 (x11), 58 (x100), 59 (x53), 60 (x8), 61 (x42), 62 (x42), 63 (x16), 64 (x10), 65, 66 (x5), 67 (x2), 68 (x14), 69 (x14), 70 (x18), 72, 73 (x23), 74 (x7), 75 (x15), 76 (x10), 77 (x7), 78 (x43), 79 (x3), 80 (x23), 81 (x49), 82 (x17), 83 (x9), 84 (x18), 86 (x37), 88 (x42), 89 (x23), 90 (x18), 91 (x19), 92 (x21), 93 (x16), 94 (x12), 95 (x28), 96 (x14), 97 (x15), 98 (x17), 99 (x31), 100 (x22), 101 (x46) and 102 (x11). There is a great variety of shades and types, mostly identified by the owner but not in our count of Scott numbers, which are all for the least valuable variety. We also note a very nice selection of postmarks including lozenge grills, dated town cancels, numeral grids, lettered grids, at least one anchor grid, red cancels and more, as well as multiples including pairs up to strips of four which often can have higher catalogue values. There will obviously be faults in a lot like this, and we observe that they are often in the most valuable stamps, so viewing in person is recommended. Otherwise overall fine to very fine, with many of the imperforate issues having 4 margins, etc. There is very high catalogue value in this one, photos only show part of the lot. (Image)

France Used Collections and Accumulation from Classics to about 1980, on album and stockbook pages, plus a 1kg bag of Marianne bundles. This lot is comprised of a group of old time collections and accumulations bought over the years by the collector but never reorganized. The classical issues are represented from Scott #5 on, including a nice selection of the Bordeaux and the Sage issues. Semi-postals, airmail and postage due issues are well represented. Duplication is prevalent throughout, but generally in small numbers, allowing to create a quality collection from the best copies. Some colonies, fiscals and foreign stamps to be found here and there. Faults as can be expected in such old collections, but generally fine to very fine. (Image)

France Comprehensive Mint and Used Collection in a Stockbook, 1849 to 1975, a lovely and very strong collection left as received, which is not missing much to be complete, and includes loads of material not often offered in such collections. Starts off used with mint scattered here and there and quickly becomes mint with used scattered. The souvenir sheets included include #s 226 (used, $1,100), 241 (MH, $1,000), 329 (NH, $700), we also noted some complete booklets: 30c Sower and 10c Pasteur, 1952 ($375) and 1956 Red Cross as well as good overprinted issues such as #s 197 (MH, $140), 246 (MH, $600), etc. The mint and used (mixed) regular issues and semi-postal issues are quite extensive, often with extra shades and printing types, such as for the 1929 3fr to 20fr issues. The airmail issues appear complete, with most of the high catalogue stamps being mint. Dues are extensive, missing only the high denominations in the early period and a few more, and there is a good showing of European Council issues, Military Franchise stamps and 4 sets of mint German Occupation issues. Included in the lot but not counted in the catalogue value are many items, including Franco-Prussian issues, parcel stamps, and a few imperforates and better cinderellas. Last but not least is a 22 page collection of mint United Nations, appearing complete to 1975 and including many extras such as stationery, inscription blocks, souvenir sheets and special folders. Most of the mint stamps we spot checked were lightly hinged but we did see some NH and note that many have a pencil number on back. Good overall quality, except that some of the early imperforates might not all have four margins. An outstanding offering which should be seen in person despite our many scans online. Catalogue value is by owner, and each page has its own value penciled-in. (Image)
