image Cayman Islands Spectacular Mint Collection to 2011, missing only two stamps in the earlier period, then complete to 1990 and continuing to 2011 with 14 more sets and 11 souvenir sheets. Early sets are a mixture of hinged and never hinged, some sets from the 1930s and 1940s are present complete as hinged and again partially as never hinged. From 1953 on, all stamps we checked were never hinged. The collection includes such sets as Scott 1-16 ($642), 17-9 ($735, #17 is accompanied by a 1977 PF certificate), 21-28 ($185), 32-45 ($424), 50-68 ($379) 69-80 ($564) and many more sets cataloguing $100 and more each. Also note a few covers and FDC (stamps catalogued as used) including a local 1908 cover manuscript-franked (not included in catalogue value but appears to be dated Oct 1908 which would give it a minimum SG value of £250). The 1935 Coronation issues are accompanied by mint blocks, including a Plate 2 strip of the ½d showing the "diagonal line by turret" variety. Very fine throughout. (Image)

image China and Area Accumulation of Various Collections, with a few thousand issues in three stockbooks and on loose album pages in 5 folders. The issues are mainly from the Republic of China and earlier but also contains provinces and People's Republic of China. One stockbook has some used PRC with singles, sets, part sets, FDC and souvenir sheets, noted 4 pages of Gymnastics issues in used singles and pairs, and we noted some items from the Republic of China such as mint 988-90,1261-64, and two NH souvenir sheets 1269a and 1322a. Also, the used include #s 1037-40, 1077-91, 1095, 1136, 1265a, etc. We saw a PRC souvenir sheet 798a ($1,350) used on small piece and a Republic of China #1091a mint souvenir folder with creases ($500). There are hundreds of the surcharged and overprinted issues from the 1940s, noting nice used blocks of four, some shades and varieties, etc., with a good possibility of some finds in the stamps as well as possible postmarks, as we have not looked closely at this collection. Our many online scans do not do the lot full justice, please view in person to better appreciate its value. (Image)

image China (PRC) Massive Mint Never Hinged Collection from 1952 to 2020, all neatly displayed in black mounts on pages contained in 6 thick binders plus more. The collection includes singles, complete sets, souvenir sheets and booklets, with many of the items having sheet margins. We assume that it is complete in period except for some missing runs in the late 60s and early 70s, as it was carefully assembled through new issue services over the years. The catalogue value noted here does not include the last two years, as well as many items that are not listed in Scott, such as some of the complete booklets, and some of the souvenir sheets or sheetlets, which were sometimes only catalogued by number of stamps they contained. We also did not catalogue some of the souvenir or annual folders that are still sealed, in order to preserve their unopened state. A magnificent and valuable collection, and a rare occasion to acquire such beautiful stamps together. Online scans only show a tiny portion of this desirable collection. (Image)
