Ascension Mainly Mint Never Hinged Collection 1922 to about 2010, only a few stamps in the first set, Scott 1-9, were found to be hinged; all others we checked in this collection were found to be never hinged. We could not ascertain if the collection was complete as pages are not in catalogue order. However all stamps from number 1 to 88 are present at the start of this bulging binder, and we assume that based on all the other countries this person consigned that it should be very close to complete in period. Asian Countries Old Time Mint and Used Collection to the 1970s, featuring China, Japan, Vietnam and Afghanistan. An old time collection on homemade pages holding a few thousand stamps with many useful, rarely seen older stamps. China is well represented to 1964 and the Republic of China to about 1969 while Japan goes to 1985, being stronger to the early 1960s. We noted the used Mei Lanfang set of 1962, Scott 620-7 (CV $340) among many interesting items. Japan and China are also notable for the pages of old revenue stamps. Afghanistan has unusual early items to 1962. A diverse lot that will please a large number of collectors. Faults noted on some earlier material, otherwise very fine. (Image)

Australia Group of Annual Collections, 1981 to 2002, only missing 1989 from the run. We found all stamps to be intact. Includes the book, "A Selection of the Engraved Stamps of the Commonwealth of Australia" published by Australia Post Philatelic Group and containing black proof prints of a number of classic Australian stamps. Also included is a group of 10 special commemorative packages including "Botany Bay", "Australian Gold Medalists", "Centenary of Australian Football League", among several others. Lastly, a book entitled, "Kangaroo and Map: 1913-2013 - An Advertisement for Australia" (by Richard Breckon, 2013 Australian Postal Corporation.)
