image 1870 Cover with 4d Black Bisected Stamp, mailed on NOV.5.1870 (neat Prince Edward island c.d.s. free strike) to Mansfield (PEI) and franked with a bisected 4d Queen Victoria paying the 2d internal letter rate. The stamp is ideally tied to the cover by a #13 in grid obliterator. Tiny stain in tip of stamp, else very fine and scarce. Accompanied by a 1962 R.P.S.L certificate and a 2019 Greene Foundation certificate. Rsv. $1,800. (Image)

image Group of 3 World War II Navy Sailor Covers to Harbour Grace, most likely from Newfoundlanders serving in the Royal Navy. After the outbreak of the War the Royal Navy was allowed by the Newfoundland Government to recruit for sailors in Newfoundland.
