image 1897 5c Small Queen Cover to Mexico, mailed in Montréal on MAY.6.1897 (Bickerdike machine flag cancel) to "City of Mexico" in Mexico, through New York (MAY.7 machine transit on back) and arrived in Mexico City on MAY.12. Corner card is from a business in New York City and franked with a very fine 5c Small Queen paying the UPU rate. A few wrinkles top left corner, still very fine and a scarcer Small Queen destination. image Group of 6 New Brunswick Covers, Plus One from P.E.I., 1849-1867, includes an 1849 stampless folded letter to St John with an "Advertised and Not Taken" handstamp in red circle (the first we've seen), an 1854 folded letter to Richibucto with a #1, a #8 on a Salisbury to Harvey 1860 cover and also on a "Liverpool and London and Globe Fire and Life Insurance" company letter head 1866 folded letter. Also #8 (x2) on an 1866 cover St John to New York and a #9 on an 1867 cover from St John to Boston. Lastly a P.E.I. #5 (stamp faulty) on a stained cover to Point Prim. image 1841 St John Ship Letter with Crown Oval Handstamp, on a folded letter to St John. Handstamp is a little blurry but easily identifiable as a strike of the rare (JGY #47 - RF 8) postmark. Letter is datelined "Boston, July 12th, 1841" and rated 4½d, overall very fine. (Image)

image 1854 Cover with 3d Red Heraldic Imperforate, mailed at Richibucto NB on OCT.17.1854 (datestamp on back) to Bay Verte. Has a light Sackville transit backstamp. The stamp has 3 margins and is cut into on the fourth, tied to the cover with a light oval grid cancel, plus there is a very light pen cancel on the stamp. Open on two sides and missing its back flap, still fine overall. (Image)

image 1854 Folded Cover from St Stephen to Fredericton with a 3d Red Heraldic Stamp, manuscript dated SEP.8.1854 on back, as well as 3 faint datestamps including Fredericton SEP.10. The stamp has 2 clear margins and is slightly cut into at top and bottom, tied by a faint #30 oval grid cancel (RF 7 in Unitrade). image 3d Dark Blue Bisect on an 1856 Cover from Cape Breton to the United Kingdom, mailed from North Sydney, Cape Breton on JUN.16.1856 to London England with PAID JUL.14 receiver, through Halifax on JUN.24 (oval “H” datestamp). This neat Lady’s cover (opened on three sides for display) is franked with a strip of three of the 3d dark blue Heraldic (deep, fresh colour and large margins), the stamp at left is bisected to pay the 7½d packet rate. All three stamps are tied by oval grid cancels. A lovely and attractive cover which is signed in pencil by Alberto Diena, and includes his certificate dated 1976, as well as a 2019 Greene Foundation certificate. A desirable franking on a great provenance / destination cover. Rsv. $2,200. (Image)
