image Germany and Berlin Collection on Black Stock Sheets in a Lighthouse Springback Album, with issues up to the 1990s. The first half has a mix of issues including semi-postals, mint and used up to 1945. There is some value in these and included are B292-93 used (possible forgeries). The second half features a neat collection of Berlin ($700) with the 1980-1990 issues quite complete and never hinged. Overall fine to very fine, see scans for a glimpse into this collection. image Germany and States Mostly Used on 45 Old Auction Pages, from Ottawa Stamp Auctions, there are 89 German States stamps and 40 early Germany, with nearly all being used. The owner paid well over $400 to buy these about 30 years ago. Some of the better items include Baden 17 (mint), Brunswick 12, Hanover 24, Lubeck 6 (possibly reprints), Prussia 11-13, 15-20, Saxony 3 on cover, 5-8, 9-12, 15-20, Thurn & Taxis 2-4, 6-7, 15, 17-20, 24, 29, 47-52, Wurttemberg 10, 66, 71a, etc. Early Germany includes better such as 3-5, 15, 18, 21, 24, 25, C37, C38, C55-56, etc. An overall fine and valuable group, see scans for a glimpse. image Germany and Switzerland Collection in a Stockbook, the first few pages have a mix of mint and used German semi-postals up to 1958 with a good run of used (B325-B347) as well as a few mint B310-13, B323, etc. This 1949-1958 section alone catalogued $475. This is followed by pages with a complete run of NH semi-postal sets and souvenir sheets for 1958-2000 cataloguing $625. There is a page of used Berlin with 9N43-9N60, 9N75-79, etc ($150). The last pages contain an accumulation of Switzerland from the Seated Helvetias to the 1950s. These Swiss issues catalogue over $1,000 and feature a complete mint 1945 Pax set (293-305, $266) and some used Pax issues 297-99, 302-03, 305 ($372). A nice collection, overall fine to very fine, see scans for an idea. (Image)

image Germany and Switzerland Group, starts with a collection on Lighthouse pages of Germany American and British Zone (Scott $250), a Germany and area collection (1868 to 1950s, Scott $440), a blue binder contains mint and used Germany stock, a black binder contains Germany stock (1900s to WWII), three presentation books with Germany (1959-1984 Europa issues in blocks, 1974-1983 Flower semi-postal sets, and 1969 UPU Conference book with a Scott value of $145) plus about a dozen 1988 first day issue cards. Lastly we note a Switzerland group on Lighthouse hingeless pages, with about 14 sets of #s 281-283 (all NH, Scott $205). (Image)

image Gibraltar Specialized Collection of Mint 1921-1927 King George V Issues, all in black mounts on quadrille pages, with singles, blocks, three plate number blocks, etc. Includes many shades and Types and many items are ex Barclay Collection. Majority are also never hinged, based on the sampling of about 20 items. We counted for example 1sh values (x9), 2sh (x2), 4sh (x4) and 8sh (x3). image Great Britain Collection of Used Penny Reds, all sorted in a stockbook by alphabet (some duplication), we counted 400 imperforates (cat $13,000) plus about 146 perforated (14 and 16, mostly Scott #33). The last three pages feature Queen Victoria surface-printed issues. We note lots of postmark interest, also an ideal lot for the specialist. image Great Britain Large Accumulation of Used Machin Heads to Modern, consisting of many tens of thousands of both on and off paper. We counted many hundreds on pages and in a stockbook, two medium boxes (tens of thousands) full of closely trimmed on paper. The off paper are predominantly made of many thousands of 12p green and many more thousands of 15½ p purple, as well as thousands more of unsorted, and tens of thousands more neatly sorted in envelopes.
