image British Commonwealth Important Dealer Stock of Aden to Zululand in 38 Filled Red Boxes, each packed full with 102 cards, all meticulously identified by owner as Scott number, with his asking price in pencil. The red boxes are neatly identified on both ends for their contents and the lot is ready and waiting to be shown at the next dealer bourse. Each country is identified by high quality dividers, and the better stamps (priced at $10 or more) are stored in blue-coloured 102 cards. We note singles, sets, blocks, etc. with used (saw many nice postmarks) and mint (including much never hinged). A quick glance reveals prices mostly from 25c to the $30 range (could be higher, as we only checked 4 or 5 boxes), with the majority in the $1 to $10 range and we did not see any duplication of more than about a dozen in the same card. A truly remarkable dealer stock, as it is immediately apparent its owner took meticulous care and offered only good quality stamps. We photographed a few box tops as an example only, and highly recommend viewing this one in person to better appreciate the great variety, quality and value of this lot. (Image)

image British Commonwealth Old Time Exhibit on the 1935 Silver Jubilee Issues, all very neatly written up including a foreword in a quality springback album (with matching slipcase) in 1936 and exhibited at the 1936 Stampex show in Newark New Jersey. The collection / exhibit is separated in three sections: printings by Waterlow & Sons, printings by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd., and printings by De La Rue & Co., Ltd. This omnibus set can easily be found, but a look at our representative scans will attest to the loving care and high detail of this collection, each page having all of the printing details, the hand-drawn Seal of the Colony of the specific country, the watermark information, sometimes with quantities issued, and more. We counted 256 different mint hinged stamps, not counting the extras such as a page with 15 different town postmarks on the 6c Cyprus issue as well as the mint hinged "Double Flagstaff" varieties on the 1r Seychelles (SG 131a, £200), and 2c Trinidad & Tobago (in a corner block of four, SG 239a, £30), as well as a used Canada "Weeping Princess" and other stamps used to illustrate a subject. The first page is a gold-gilded award page presented to the exhibitor during the show, signed by the well-known H.L. Lindquist and others. By far the most beautiful collection of this type we have seen. (Image)
