image Collections in Three Northstar Canada Albums and Lindner and Lighthouse Hingeless Album Pages, 1951-2007, with a 16-page black stockbook containing mostly blocks and plate blocks and a few Unitrade-listed varieties. The Northstar albums cover 1951-1999 and seem to be mostly complete for the period, including many Centennial varieties. There is also one binder with 43 part sheets of stamps from the 5c to 8c era. The Lighthouse pages run from 2001 to 2007 (68 pages) and the Lindner from 1994 to 1998 (18 pages), though neither are complete in those periods. Both are substantially complete for souvenir sheets, with some die-cut stamps from booklets, and a few complete booklets. Also, there are more than 50 quadrille pages with stamps in multiples, mostly blocks of four and some coils, all from the 1950's to 1970s. We noted a good representation of tagged stamps along with some EXUP and Philabec overprints on the 1c from the Floral series. Overall very fine and a mix of hinged on the quadrille pages to mostly never hinged in the albums. Face value of the denominations over 15c is $710. Nice collections to get started with Canada - also good for a collector looking to fill gaps or for a dealer to resell with ease. See the photos online to gauge the overall quantity involved. image Mint and Used Collection, 1951-1979, all displayed in black mounts on home-made pages. In this collection of the Elizabethan era, the owner assembled a nearly complete run for the period. The contents are mostly MNH, most often with a regular issue and often with additional formats (coil, tagged, booklet single, booklet pane, precancel singles and warning strips, plate blocks, etc.) and a very good selection of owner-identified Centennial varieties. There are many private and official FDCs scattered throughout. Of particular interest is a lovely 1c Jubilee post card, addressed to Robert L. Borden, before he was a knighted Prime Minister of Canada. Owner's 2017 Unitrade catalogue value "for the most part fine" is $2,800. There is more than $46 in face value counting only denominations of 20c and higher. See the pages pictured online for a good sense of this collection and the care with which it was assembled. image Extensive Collection of Wilding Plate Blocks, Coils, Booklet Panes and Miniature Panes in Two Full Binders, mostly complete for plate block numbers of all denominations, regular issues and coils. While unchecked for paper varieties and Unitrade-listed varieties, we noted a striking pre-printing paper crease on a 2c single, several examples of coil start or end strips, a few owner-identified tagging errors, and various blocks with guide dots, slight hairlines, plate cracks and ink smears. Included is an interesting commentary from K. Bileski about the tagged issues along with his offering of Winnipeg-postmarked, matched sets of tagged corner blocks, not included in the catalogue value. Unitrade value includes only the basic plate number listings and least expensive blank corner blocks, booklet panes and miniature panes. This collection could form the basis for a new specialized collection or fill in many gaps in an existing collection or dealer stock. A very fine and desirable Elizabethan offering. (Image)

Very fine mint never hinged, catalogue value is that of owner's 2019 Unitrade (see inventory included). (Image)

image Striking Collection of Centennial Issues, in Blocks and Full Booklet Panes, 1967-1970, presented in a springback binder as a parallel offering of mint and used singles, blocks of four and full booklet panes, with all items hinged and neatly described by the owner. Also included are the commemorative issues in the period. We note the owner has identified coil jump strips of four, paper and fluorescence varieties and perforation changes throughout the period, along with a few right and left side tagging errors. Very clean and interesting presentation of material that should satisfy a collector or dealer equally. See photos for a good overview of the contents. (Image)

image Collection of Several Hundred Mint Inscription Blocks in Two Stockbooks, 1918 to 1976, plus a shoe box filled with glassines and 102 cards with blocks and matched sets identified by Scott number. The earlier items (Admiral, Confederation, Arch, Medallion, Silver Jubilee and Pictorial) are more common plates, but still desirable. There is strength in the War, Karsh and Wilding definitive issues with their many plate numbers, along with good representation of commemoratives through the 1950's and 60's. There is some duplication here and there and we noted that some blocks were previously hinged. A clean lot for either plate block collectors or dealers. (Image)
