image Collections of Mostly Used, from Large Queens to 2002, all housed in 3 sparsely filled hingeless Lighthouse albums (one with matching slipcase), as well as displayed in mounts in one Gibbons, a Minkus and a Harris album. While the Lighthouse albums feature a limited selection of modern issues from 1982 to 2002, there is a small inventory of used back of the book such as special delivery, airmails, officials and postage dues, the other 3 albums pack a good selection of earlies such as a few used LQs (½c up to 15c), SQs (to 8c), low denomination Jubilees (up to 5c), partial sets of Leafs and Numerals, some Edwards, good representation of Admirals including a complete basic set, and so on. We noted that the majority of the modern issues are used with a small group of mint never hinged with a face value about $30. Some faults to be expected. Clean lot overall fine to very fine. (Image)

image Mint and Used Quality Collection, all in Mounts on Scott Pages, 1868 to 1951, this collection was assembled with quality as the first criteria. It starts with a basic set of the Large Queens, Small Queens are present with Ottawa and Montreal printings, Jubilees complete mint to the $5 (missing only the $2 and $4), also complete mint QV Leafs and Numerals, mint Edwards only missing the 2c, complete mint Québecs, complete mint Admirals with coil singles, then about 50% complete to the end, with many high values and close to complete sets. The majority of the stamps in this collection are very fine centered, and there is a large amount of never hinged. Just a few items that stood out include #s 23 (xf), 38 (xf jumbo), 40 (xf), 43 (xf jumbo), 61 (xf), 63 just VF and fresh), 65 fine-very fine and fresh), 83-84 (vf), 95 (vf) and so on. Also includes some back of the book, and not included in the catalogue value are a page of revenues and a scattering of Provinces stamps. A great collection to part out or to use as a strong basis for continuation. All pages scanned online. Should almost certainly sell for more than our starting price. Rsv. $3,000. (Image)

image Thousands of Mostly Used Stamps Mounted on Album Pages, From the Late 1800s to the Mid 1990s, consisting of a few hundred pages and a few stock pages, grouped into an 11 inch high pile. A cursory look revealed quite a variety of material with the bulk of the issues between the early 1900s to the 1960s including some mint. We noted many nice postmarks, blocks including 2c Maps (mint reinforced block of ten with marginal inscription), sets (including high values such as 50c Bluenoses, $1 Parliaments, 50c Grand Pré, etc.), coils including strips and much more. Lot is as received and unchecked for varieties, etc. A further inspection should yield some surprises. See photos for a glimpse of the content. (Image)

image Lovely and Valuable Mint Canada Collection in a Scott Album, 1897 with all stamps neatly displayed in black mounts on quadrille pages. This is one of the nicer collections of this type we have seen recently, and includes many better material throughout. The collection starts off with a good selection of Jubilees, including shades, a $5 (with re-entry), $3 (with hr), 50c (x2), 20c (x6 including W-O variety and two pos. 15 re-entries), etc. Complete Leaf set (2c is NH and so if the 10c #73ii), complete Numerals with many shades and papers, as well as some NH, a page with 11x 2c Maps (shades), page of 2c on 3c Provisional surcharges with varieties, two pages of Edwards with many shades, papers, an imperforate block and some NH. A complete Québec set includes VFNH 7c and 15c, hairlines and re-entries. The 23 page Admirals section is particularly strong, with many papers, shades, varieties, coil pairs, imperforates, booklet panes, many NH stamps, etc. The Scroll issue is complete and includes coil jump strips of 4, booklet panes, an extra NH Bluenose, a NH $1 Parliament, as well as a set of 1c to 5c imperforate pairs. The Arch issue is equally impressive, with a basic set, plus different dies, re-entries in blocks, coil pairs and singles, line-coil strips of 4 with "cockeyed King" varieties, complete Medallions with coil pairs and booklet panes, and basically complete up to the Centennials, noting items of interest such as 217P-222P, all the coils in pairs , all the booklet panes, many mini-panes and more. The Centennials are on 43 pages and cover the whole range of material, with tagging, papers, booklet panes, plate blocks, precancels, etc. The back of the book follows tradition in that it is equally strong with complete airmails, special delivery (incl. three E1 shades), an impressive page of 2c to 8c registration stamps, including an F2b with PF certificate, complete postage dues, complete Admiral War Tax including dies, some revenues, Officially Sealed issues and Officials including perfins and complete G and OHMS overprints with varieties, etc. A very impressive collection which would require viewing to better appreciate its huge catalogue value and quality, see online scans for just a sample. Should be worth much more than our low starting price. Rsv. $6,500. (Image)
