image Great Britain Collection of Stamford Mercury Cancelled to Order Covers and Wrappers, with 25 items on quadrille pages in a Plymouth album. The Stamford Mercury was a newspaper publisher who were allowed to use their own precancel, made in the form of a "hooded circle". This collection is arranged chronologically from 1944 to 1974. 7 of the items have addresses on them, and all items appear to be different in some way. We note an error of colour cut square, where the ½p blue was printed in turquoise. Very fine, an interesting collection, great start for expansion, see scans for an idea. (Image)
