1851 3d Orange Red Beaver Imperforate on Laid Paper, unused (no gum), with four large and even margins and clear laid lines. The stamp has a tiny corner crease at lower right, still rare and very fine appearance. Of the roughly 18 unused 3d Beavers on laid paper believed to remain, fewer than a small handful exist with four large margins such as this one, as most are cut into, etc. A lovely example of Canada's first stamp. Ex. Dale-Lichtenstein and Daniel Cantor (1990), accompanied by a 2016 Greene Foundation certificate. Rsv. $18,000. (Image)

6d Consort Trial Colour Plate Proof in Red Purple, a full sheet of 100 on India paper, showing the dramatic "burr on forehead" in position 43 (only listed in Unitrade as being on #13, but is now known on other Consort printings). A wonderful and rare sheet, proving the position of the variety, with the normal minor paper wrinkling often found on this fragile paper, still very fine and desirable. Rsv. $11,000. (Image)
6d Consort Trial Colour Plate Proof in Grey Blue, with Vertical SPECIMEN Overprint in Carmine, a block of four on card-mounted India paper, with well-clear to large margins all around, with pencil notation "Plate 2" on the card, very fine and an attractive shade. Rsv. $450. (Image)
1851 6d Slate Violet Consort Imperforate on Laid Paper, used with centrally struck target cancel, good margins all around just touching at top left, with strong laid lines, fine. (Image)
12d Queen Victoria Plate Proof in Black with Vertical SPECIMEN Overprint in Carmine, a sheet margin vertical strip of three, on card-mounted India paper, with light pencil notes on back indicating these come from the left pane, positions 51/71. There are position dots and horizontal guidelines in the left margin and there is evidence of strong re-entering on all three stamps, especially in the vertical framelines, most prominent on the middle stamp. A lovely and rare multiple of this sought after proof, extremely fine. Catalogue value is for three singles only. Rsv. $5,000. (Image)
1852 3d Red Beaver Imperforate, used with pen cancel and four large margins, close at lower left, fine-very fine. Also comes with a faulty used second stamp on thin oily paper, with four large margins (showing next stamp at right), showing an unusually blurry impression. (Image)
1852 3d Red Beaver Imperforate, used with 4-ring #2 cancel (Belleville), a fresh stamp with bright colour and detailed impression, three large margins plus well clear at right, fine-very fine. (Image)
1852 3d Red Beaver Imperforate, used with a centrally struck 4-ring #47 from Three Rivers. The stamp has three large margins, clear at left showing a small irregularity in the left margin, away from the outer frameline, fine-very fine. (Image)
1852 3d Red Beaver Imperforate, used with a 4-ring #14 cancel from Goderich. The stamp has four large, even margins and has deep colour, but has a deep thin which does not detract from its very fine appearance. (Image)
