1923 5,000k dark green and pale blue, Madonna and Child, center inverted, very well centered and fresh, lifted for inspection and hinged on small piece (with Budapest 85 number) clear January 22, 1925 postmark, minor wrinkles at right and bottom markings, v.f. One sheet of 100 with inverted center was found in a tobacco store, used by an insurance agency in Budapest in January 1925. A rarity from Hungary, One of the premier Inverted Centers of 20th century Europe, with at least 38 tied up in museums, many with quality problems (especially among the used examples), leaving very few opportunities for a collector to obtain one of these beautiful rarities in sound condition (Mi.379I, Euro 15,000) cat. $12000 (Cat No. 386a) (Image)
