1919 (23 Jan) picture postcard (city of Kem) sent to Newport, Isle of Wight, England by a British soldier during the military intervention in North Russia. Postmarked "Field Post Office P.B.44", with censor's signature and oval PE/C/21 handstamp. Field post office 44 was in Bakaritsa, across the Dvina River from Arkhangelsk. The message, dated 19 January, reads "This is a good view of Russia. I am only sorry I cannot send you some snow views. There are no such postcards. I hope you are all well. From Dad with love and kisses." (Image)
