image Special Handling, 1940, 10¢ green (Scott QE1), in combination with 30¢ Prexie pair and 4¢ Liberty, cancelled in pencil and tied by "Special Handling" straightline handstamp or "Oak Park, Ill. (River Forest Ill.)/Parcel Post/May 22 1957" double-ring datestamp in purple, on return part of mailing tag for a student’s laundry to Sinsinawa, Wisconsin; the rate during this period was 74¢ (54¢ for 7-lb. package + 20¢ Special Handling); though a light green shade, the Special Handling stamp is actually a normal "wet" printing; the outbound side of the tag was mailed on May 9, 1957 bearing 5¢ & 10¢ Liberty series and $1 Prexie paying the fees for a 10-lb. parcel, a remarkable "turned" mailing tag.
Estimate $250 - 350
