image Executive Dept., 1873, 10¢ carmine (Scott O14), o.g., never hinged, a stunning stamp that embodies the gravitas of the office; "exquisite" doesn't come close to doing the color justice, with the impression crisp and precise; the paper looks like it was manufactured yesterday, and the margins are pleasingly balanced, especially at top and bottom; accompanying certificate notes small natural gum skips and irregularities (a bit nit-picky, in our view), none of which can detract from this magnificent stamp, Very Fine to Extremely Fine, all hail, incredibly rare, with only two in the PF's records; unpriced in Scott (would probably catalogue $3,000 if they did), with 2018 P.F. certificate.
