image Worldwide, Magnificent Mondial Mint Collection, Mostly Mid-1920s to Mid-'70s. Old Jules would be jealous—here you can go 'round the world in 32 albums (though you might want to take 80 days to savor them); the bulk of the collection runs from the mid-1920s to the mid-'70s, with some countries (e.g., Germany, Italy, Russia) going back nearly to First Issues; truly amazing is that the collection is largely complete for the period, with everything not only mint, but overwhelmingly never hinged (the number of used stamps, mostly 19th-century Classics, is negligible); a work of love, the stamps are meticulously arrayed in mounts on quadrille pages, each with country name and Scott numbers neatly typed; as the albums run from Abu Dhabi to Zululand, a complete listing of "WOW!" items is impossible, but we note particularly strong Asia, including very pretty Bhutan and Cambodia, captivating Korea with souvenir sheets from #283a on, Laos including deluxe proofs, souvenir folders and imperforates; Japan with numerous lottery and miniature sheets, Famous Men complete, etc.; China with #307-310, 471, a range of Martyrs, and some Occupations; Taiwan featuring many of the most sought-after items, including #1037-1040, 1046-1051 (perforated and imperforate), Silo Bridge booklet, 1114a and 1126a with tabs, Emperors, etc.; excellent Middle East, with all countries well-represented, including solid Egypt, Syria (Mandatory and independent, with souvenir sheets and Airmail overprint varieties), strong Saudi Arabia, plus extensive issues from the various Gulf States that arose following the Trucial States' demise; Italy including all 1920s-'30s sets (Manzoni on) and Aegean Islands overprints, German 5M Symbols of Empire values, a mind-blowing Russia (taking up 1½ albums, including much Imperial), spectacular Spain, exquisite Colonies, lovely Latin America, and so much more; accompanied by the owner's meticulous and properly figured 2019 Scott catalog value tapes (for each album, plus at the start of each country!), totaling in excess of $360,000, Very Fine, one of the best-looking worldwide collections we've had the pleasure to offer; whether you're a collector or a dealer, this must be first on your view list.

image Worldwide, Massive Estate Collection, 1841-2010. A large holding consisting of 27 Scott mainly International albums, plus a bulging Harris Citation binder, 6 stock books of duplicates and much more, totalling tens of thousands of mint and used stamps of the world. The late collector focused on filling as many spaces as possible, and his favorite countries often have long runs of fairly complete decades. This collection would be perfect to break up into lots by country of eBay or other sales. Better countries include Cuba, Philippines, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Japan, China with some reprints plus better singles and sets. Excellent Hungary, nice Republic of China, Italy, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil and many more. We note sets and singles in the hundreds of dollars in Scott value as well as many less expensive. Two plastic tubs of United States, one with mint face as sell as used, the second tub being used in quantity, all in Scott number order, plus packets of additional mint. Additional quantities of Worldwide duplicates are housed in multiple cartons. An original estate that will be a joy to work through for resale or to add to a Worldwide collection. These holdings are becoming scarce as the challenge to collect the world is so daunting. The condition is generally Fine to Very Fine with earlier stamps in the usual mixed condition. Well worth careful examination to fully appreciate.
