In 1913, the Canal Zone required further 1¢ postal cards, and the American Bank Note Co. prepared new Balboa stamp die with amended arched frame design. Approved by Panama with a total of 634,000 cards supplied over six orders. But Panama did not require and cards, so the entire order was overprinted "Canal Zone".
