image Germany (DDR) Collection in 8 Lindner Hingeless Albums with Pages to 1989, the value of $2,230 is stronger in the mint issues, including NH sets and souvenir sheets ($1.550). The material from the 1950s to early 1970s quite often lacks the blocking (restricted) value leading to many part sets from that period. There is good value in the earlier issues with many mint, such as #s 48-57, 58-80, 82-83, 113-15, 155-71, 237a (souvenir sheet), B14-21, B35a (souvenir sheet), etc., as well as some better used including 65-67, 84-90, 113-17, 272-77, B17-20, etc. Overall fine to very fine. image Germany (DDR) Mainly Used Collections in 4 Volumes, first collection goes from 1945 to 1961 with over $400 in value; the second collection is on Minkus pages to 1982 and catalogues well over $800. There is also a binder with 1982-1990 issues on album pages and a stockbook with duplicates in another binder. There are only a few mint stamps and the Minkus album has many of the "blocking" issues present. Overall very fine. (Image)

image Germany and Area Mint and Used Collection and Stock, all housed in 6 volumes. Starts with some material from the German States such as Bavaria and Wurttemberg, early Germany including some mint and used inflation, war issues, with emphasis in post-war Berlin and D.D.R onwards to the 1980s. We noted some souvenir sheets, many semi postals throughout. While the collection and stock are mostly used, there is presence of mint and some mint never hinged towards the modern era. Some duplication noted up to 20 of each for some mostly with definitive issues. Clean lot. (Image)

image Germany and Area Mainly Used Collection in a Thick Minkus Album, a lovely and valuable collection, the first pages are devoted to German States with many issues from Bavaria, Wurttemberg, etc. Germany proper has many complete used sets from the 1920s and 1930s, including stamps from the "inflation era" that seem to have genuine cancels. There is a strong showing of the post-World-War II issues such as used #s 530-56, 557-77, 665-66, 669, 670-86, 688, B302-08, etc. then quite complete to 1989. The semi-postals of 1935-45 are also found, nicely cancelled, such as #s B172-76. Berlin itself catalogues over $1,000 with used 38-39, 41, 42-60, 61-63 ($135), 64-69, 9 different "Freedom Bells" and then quite complete to 1990. The last third of the album features some Offices and Colonies, as well as Plebiscite and other Occupation issues. There are many hundreds of stamps from Bohemia-Moravia, Danzig, Memel, Poland Central Government, Saar, etc. Despite our many scans, we highly recommend viewing this one in person, as there were too many attractive pages to scan. image Germany and Berlin Specialized Collection, all in well-described 102 cards filling a black 102 box, with many stamp and overprint varieties not listed in Scott and we also noted lot of postmark interest. The owner catalogued his collection in the mid-1990s in German Marks which we have converted to 1 Euro = 1.96 German Marks. Includes Germany (€51,998) and Berlin (€16,700). There is a mix of mint and used and we saw some never hinged. The collection arrived quite disorganized, and we did our best to properly sort the categories, but some may be out of sort. A great collection for the specialist or dealer, with many better and expensive stamps plus some that were not valued. Values are approximate, see photos for a small sample. (Image)

image Hungary Extensive and Valuable Collection in 18 Lindner Hingeless Albums with Slipcases, 1871-1980, with most of the content being from 1871 to 1980. Appears to be more than 95% complete in this period, but includes pages up to 1989 and few stamps in the 1981 to 1989 range except for 1986 which has many complete sets. An impressive collection which starts with #s 1-12 used ($1,249) followed by a comprehensive collection of mostly used to the 1920s, then mint and used to 1944 (including never hinged) then mostly mint from about 1945 to the end, most often with an imperforate variety as well. Better imperforate sets include #s 700-07 ($500), 708-22 ($200), 723-37 ($110), 738-84 ($400), 785-88 ($500), 788A-800 ($175), 829-41 ($425), 842-55 ($305), 856-58 ($175), 871-84 ($450), 1392-99 (sheetlet set $200), B179-86 ($175), B188-91 ($135), B192-94 ($325), B198A-D, CB1-C ($250), C45-62 ($370), C81 (imperf souvenir sheet $600, perforated souvenir sheet $525), C95, CB13-14 ($550), C128 ($300), and tons more, way too many to list. In fact, most of the collection from 1945 to 1980 is presented with a mint set and a mint imperforate set, including hundreds of souvenir sheets, and the modern imperforates are often with sheet margins. A tremendous catalogue value here, and our scans only show a tiny portion of the collection. Nice quality as well and mostly all very fine, and certainly the largest collection of its type we have offered. (Image)
