image United States Mint and Used Stock and Collections, From 1870s to 1970s, starting with a collection of approximately 200 stamps mounted on Sargent album pages, with some used Columbian Exposition issues (1c to 8c), a few Pan American (up to 10c), Louisiana and Jamestown Exposition issues, a collection of over 2,000 precancelled stamps mostly from the 1920s and 1930s housed in one stockbook, collections of used stamps mounted in 3 albums (Harris, 2x Scott) several thousand used stamps from the early 1900s to the 1970s mounted on pages or in stock sheets, housed in 5 volumes, some modern postage consisting of sheets and blocks (2 plate blocks of $5 value #1295 and #1612) with a face value of approximately $130 not counting denominations lower than 10c and a small group of FDCs, event covers, and commercially used covers from the 1960s to the 1990s (about 200 items). image United States Mostly Mint Collection on Black Stock Cards, 1901-1950s, mostly with issues from the 1920s and 30s, starts with a set of 294-299 (never hinged, a few have perf issues, cat. $957), and so on, with no duplication except for some blocks of four, includes some air mail issues from the same era. The collection is all mint except for one stamp, the used 1933 air mail issue (C18). Mix of hinged and never hinged, with nice overall quality, owner estimates catalogue value to be about $2,700, all the stamps are scanned online. (Image)

image United States Mint and Used Collections and Stock, From the Late 1800s to the Late 1990s, starting with two mostly used collections, one mounted in a 1990 Fulton album, and the other one on White Ace album pages housed in one binder, also including over 1,000 stamps (mostly used) mounted on about 100 loose mismatched album pages. Stock consists of mostly used stamps (small quantity of mint and mint never hinged), sorted by catalogue number in stock pages housed in 5 binders and one stockbook, a quantity of used in a few hundred glassines. Also included are tens of thousands of used off-paper stamps, filling 4 very large "Zip Lock" style plastic bags with a total weight of 5.5 Kg. Unchecked for postmarks, and varieties. Clean lot. image United States Mint and Used Collection, 1929-1940, on Harris pages with mint and used, imperforates, imperforate mini-sheets, imperforate gutter pairs, covers and first day covers and good back of the book including airs, dues, officials, and more. Noted a $1 due (J100) with shifted overprint. Also includes a neat little 6-page exhibit on the topic of hands, titled "A Show of Hands" with 57 different "hand stamps". image United States Mint and Used Collection, From 1850s to 1989, mounted in 3 Mystic albums with matching slipcase. Mint and used throughout, with sparse representation at the beginning and increasing completeness from the late 1930s onwards. Earlier stamps are predominantly used with better such as #68 (Washington), #74 (Jackson), some Columbian (1c to 8c), 1895 Bureau (1c to 10c), Trans-Mississippi (1c to 8c) and Pan-American issues (1c to 10c). We noted some nicer postmarks, some back of the book such as early used postage dues, airmails, and special deliveries, several mint never hinged souvenir sheets. image Viet Nam (Vietcong) Stock of Mint Never Hinged Issues, 1967 to 1971, either in full sheets of 100, part sheets, multiples or singles (Nu-Line catalogue numbers MT12/43). One stock sheet contains 23 different singles (with attached list), other stock sheets contain a similar offering of 22 different stamps in blocks, singles, etc, and the rest are sorted and identified in several file folders. There is a complete inventory included, which lists all the catalogue values (from a 1995 Nu-Line specialized catalogue, which is included) coming to US$21,270. A scarce and mostly very fine offering of stamps issued by the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam (Vietcong). (Image)

image Worldwide Mint and Used Collection, from late 1800s to 1940s, with some later issues, mostly sorted by Scott number, alphabetically by country, and housed in 24 binders as well as approximately 230 photo album pages. An older collection including many early issues, from a great variety of countries such as Australia and States (New South Wales #O10, CV $600) , Austria and states, Barbados, Belgium (#s 1,3, 6, 7), Canada, France (#19, 20, etc, with nice postmarks) and colonies, GB and British Commonwealth, Finland, Germany and States (East Africa #s 6, 7, 9, Saxony, Bavaria, Prussia etc.), Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and more. While not the best method of storage, the stamps can be removed from the photo album pages undamaged when using caution, including the mint, and the ones we tried left no marks on the gum. Unchecked by us for perforation and shade varieties. Also included is a limited edition Postal Museum publication (in French #250/300) including Canada Bank Note engravings, and more.
