image Turkey Advanced Used Collection in Minkus Album to 2008, covering #s 1 to 2833, with strength from the very first page to about 1990 and few stamps after 1997. Total Scott 2017 CV is $5,800, although the early «Imprimés» and the «Boar Head» overprints of 1917 have not been counted and are sold as is (would come to an extra about $5,000 if good). We noted many difficult to assemble used complete sets including the long City Views (Scott 1290-1423) and many others. Also noted many souvenir sheets (some MH) and a large glassine of duplicates these last not counted in CV. A great basis for a specialized collection or a means to acquire many rarely seen items. Very fine. (J.O.) (Image)

image United States Extensive Used Collection in Two Thick Albums, 1849 to 2002, with a high level of completeness for regular issues (mostly complete from about 1920 to end) with Columbians to 50c, Trans-Mississippi to 10c, complete Pan-Americans, and also includes grills, lots of shades, varieties, hundreds of sheetlets and souvenir sheets, booklets and booklet panes, all se-tenant multiples, coils and coil strips and much more. Also includes extensive back of the book, with complete air mails to 1989 (no Zeps), special delivery missing only one stamp (E1), good selection of dues, officials, complete parcel post and postal notes, complete hunting permit stamps (1934 to 1984, cat $1,293). A lovely collection, with mostly nice and clean postmarks, and again with a high level of completeness. Small faults on some early material, still mostly very fine throughout. We recommend viewing this one in person, despite our numerous scans. (Image)

The collection has many better singles and sets including #s 70, 89, 115, 139, 154, 217-18, 230-40, 297-99, 323-27, 401-04, 422-23, 658-68, 669-79, C1-9, J3-5, RW13-28, Q1-12 and much more. The collection is quite complete from the 1920s to the late 1990s where there are better strips, souvenir or mini-sheets, blocks, etc. These later issues were not counted, and the 2015 Scott catalogue value given is for up to 1950 only. A very clean collection, with mostly nice and clean postmarks and overall fine to very fine. Scans only show a small portion and we recommend careful viewing in order to better appreciate the extensive nature of this album. (J.O.) (Image)

image United States Used Collections in Four Volumes, including a two-volume Scott collection with strength in revenues, regular issues to 1948 and some back of the book. A third album contains a collection of hundreds of envelope and post card cut squares, and a fourth album contains many modern used issues in the 29c to 32c era plus many pages of used air mails, dues, special delivery and a few revenues. There is duplication throughout, with no high value stamps noted except for a few of the revenues) but a careful examination should reward. (J.O.) (Image)

image United States Used Collection in Two Scott Minuteman Albums plus a binder, 1850s to 2014. The owner has catalogued the regular issues to 1936 at $7,800 (many nice postmarks and well centered stamps in this section), 1937 to 2003 at $2,400, airs, dues, special delivery, etc at $1,250 and duck stamps at $1,100. 2004 to 2014 is quite filled but was not counted. A good collection to grow upon, quite complete from the 1940s to the early 2000s, and includes many expensive stamps, many of which unfortunately have faults. See scans for a small sample. (Image)

image United States Advanced Collection of Early Mint and Used Definitives, starts off with many imperforate first issues, including #1 (x4), 2, 7, 9 (x2), 12 (x2), 13, 14, 15 (x2), two pages full of 3c Washington imperforates and perforated (10, 10A, 11, 11A, 25, 26, 26a, etc with some mint), and so on, with many grills (incl. varieties such as split grills, etc), shades, postmark interest, varieties, watermarks, perforations, printings, some mint or unused, papers, pages of the 1869 issues to the 30c, four pages of mint and used Columbians to the $2, three pages of the Trans-Mississippi issues to the $2, complete mint set of mint Pan-Americans with dozens of used extras, great selection of Washington Franklins with many mint, booklet panes, coil singles and pairs, a few plate items, precancels, and goes on until about 1930. Back of the book contains a page of mint Nebraska and Kansas overprints (#658-679), another page of used, and ends with mint and used air mail and special delivery. There are just too many expensive stamps here to list individually, and so we highly recommend careful viewing, despite our many online scans (which only show a portion of the lot). Even though there is an appearance of duplication, these are usually present because of various different attributes. Many usually small faults can be found on some of the early material, still a great collection with tremendous catalogue value and ideal for the advanced collector or online reseller. (Image)
