1880s 1c Small Queen Defaced Plate Proof in Black, a block of four from the upper right corner of the sheet showing a reversed "R" in upper margin. John Hillson describes it as "The Montréal twin plate (Type V imprint) lettered "I" and "H" is known defaced and printed in black. This "R" indicating a repaired plate was on the "H" pane".
