1857 ½d Rose Queen Victoria Imperforate, used with a clearly struck 4-ring #49 (Whitby) cancel in blue. The stamp has two large margins, close to well clear on others, with a shallow thin, still fine appearance and a better 4-ring numeral. (Image)

We noted some small faults, otherwise mostly fine appearance. Catalogue value is for all no gum, least expensive shade and fine centering. (Image)
Small Group of Interesting 5c Beavers, starts with #15v (major re-entry, fine, cat. $500), 15c (brick red 1st printing, small engraver's slip at lower right corner, very fine, cat $60), 15iii (very thick paper, fine, cat. $150) also a group of 9 others with various postmarks including a 4-ring 18, one with late date (Ottawa APR.6.1868) and a blue target. Collection of 1859 5c Beaver Issues, with 5 stamps and one cover, includes 5 singles with a variety of shades, the folded cover was mailed double rate to Sherbrooke from Montréal on MAY.23.1863, franked with two singles (vertical cover crease goes through one stamp).
