image Two Stockbooks of Mint and Used Stock, one and a half stockbooks contain Newfoundland, including a good variety of material, from about 1862 onwards. Majority of the older stamps are mint hinged, with many of the more recent issues being never hinged. We noted duplication for mint issues up to 20 of each, and for used issues in some cases over 90 of each. The older sets while well represented, will miss one or two values, becoming complete towards the mid 1930s with issues such as, Perkins Bacon Printings Definitive issues, Silver Jubilee, Coronation Omnibus, Long Coronation and more. We noted plate blocks, airmails, complete Labrador set, postage dues, revenues, several issues of other provinces such as British Columbia mint #8, New Brunswick mint #6-10, Nova Scotia mint #8-13, Prince Edward Island, with dozens of never hinged from #4 to 16 (missing only #s 7 and 8). Centering varies from fine to very fine, quality is overall nice, and unchecked by us for shades or varieties. Useful and clean lot, with a high catalogue value, ideal for a dealer or online reseller. See scans for an idea. (Image)

image Collection and Stock of Mint and Used, on Jarrett pages, includes a good showing of mint and/or used, with varieties, shades, etc. The mint stamps are mostly hinged and in crystal mounts, sometimes strengthened by tape, which does not appear to have affected the stamps. Also note a few imperforate pairs and a block, a selection of 16 mint never hinged plate blocks and more. The catalogue value of the collection alone is $7,206. Also comes with mint and used stock, all neatly displayed on black stock sheets, with a good selection and manageable duplication. This stock not counted but probably adds hundreds more to the value of the collection. A few faults in early material, else overall fine or better. (Image)
