Great Britain Collection of Nearly 100 19th Century Letters and Large Pieces, includes 2 used Mulready letters (faults), 2 Penny Black letters with red Maltese Cross cancels, from Sept and Oct 1840, with RPS certificate stating Plate #8 on the latter, also an 1816 letter with faint straightline cancel, a 1835 letter with Bishop mark, 81 imperforate and perforated unplated Penny Red letters, fronts or large pieces, 4 later items and 2 unused early postal stationery items. The cover is franked with all 5 stamps issued on that day (the 2a was issued later), and has three different air mail labels plus a boxed "FIRST DAY / OF ISSUE OF / AIR MAIL STAMPS", with Park Street registration label on back, plus an oval registration GB receiver dated NOV.20. United States 1964 Jacqueline Kennedy Free-Franked Mourning Cover to Canada, mailed New York City on MAR.10.1964 (Grand Central Station machine) to Montreal, Canada "Via Air", with "postage and fees paid" handstamp and Jacqueline Kennedy autopen signature. The mourning cover (back reads "Mrs. John F. Kennedy") encloses a printed letter of thanks (see scans).
