image British Commonwealth 1937 Coronation Omnibus Issue Exhibit, all neatly displayed and written-up on 36 pages. The exhibit starts with 22 mint stamps illustrating the various designs used for this series, this is followed by 62 covers illustrating all of the stamps issued in this series, all appearing to be mailed on the first day of issue, with some registered, some with cachets, etc. The lot is also accompanied by a further group of 17 extra covers. Very nice and clean, overall very fine. (Image)

image France 1862 French Offices in Turkey Folded Cover, with no contents, mailed from Constantinople (with sender's business handstamp) to Lyon, with boxed "PD" and red boxed "PAQUEBOTS / DE LA / MEDITERRANEE", Phase JUL.30.1862 transit. Datestamps on back are Marseille, Marseille à Lyon and Lyon. The cover is franked with a 10c and a 40c Napoléon imperforates, both cancelled by Anchor in dotted lozenge cancels. Only very occasional duplication when considering cachet maker and cancels. About 20-25% are from private cachet makers, we noted Stuart, PhilArt, Thames, Cotswold and Wessex, among others.
