1911-1925 Extensive and Advanced Collection of Mint Admirals, filling 14 large stock pages with well over 600 stamps. The collector's aim was to find as many different shades, papers, wet and dry printings and varieties as possible, which will be immediately apparent upon viewing. We note regular issues mostly in singles and pairs, including many high valued stamps, coils are mostly in pairs with many paste-ups, Toronto experimentals, and other varieties, there are also some imperforates and an extensive showing of War Tax issues, again with many dies, shades, coils and printings. A cursory look behind these stamps showed mostly hinged examples, with some scattered NH here and there, as well as some faults, usually in the form of thins or creases, but overall this collection is fine to very fine. All pages have been scanned online, but we recommend close-up viewing to better appreciate the quality and value of this lot, which must have taken a long time to assemble. (Image)

Group of Mint Admirals, on two double-sided black stock pages, with mostly blocks of four, but also larger multiples, plus a few singles. We note many better items such as a 2c yellow green lathework block of 12, a 2c pink block of 10 (6 stamps are NH), two blocks of four of the 4c olive bistre, a block of four of the 5c violet, and more. Many of the stamps are never hinged, some are hinged and a few have faults, usually being thins. Well worth a close look, as this is a high catalogue value lot. (Image)
