image Old Time Mint and Used Collection in a Stanley Gibbons Devon Album, first part consists of a fairly comprehensive collection of Manchukuo (mint and used, sometimes both, with no air mails), which we catalogued at $951. The second part is a Japan collection of mint and used (sometimes both) from the 1870s to about 1972, which according to the owner contains 1,425 stamps. We catalogued only the large size commemorative issues up to 1944 at $450 but there is a lot more catalogue in the rest of the collection. Very nice and clean collection throughout, worth a close look. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collections in 16 Binders. A group of country collections from most Latin America countries plus Dominica and Haiti. Most are on Minkus pages and are well filled to about 1970 or 1975 with Mexico, Cuba, Paraguay and Nicaragua going as far as 1990. Most countries have pages to about year 2000 and have more or less scattered stamps in the later years. Cuba has pages to 1975 with the period 1966-1975 very well filled. Stamps from 1976 to 1990 are placed on circuit pages. Paraguay is particularly well filled with mostly MH from 1950 on. Nicaragua is notable for the large number of complete sets to 1990. Great thematic interest all around. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection to 1986, an impressive collection of mainly mint stamps from about 1924 on and a mixture of mint and used for the previous period. Starts with mainly used stamps to Scott 37, then the Princess Wilhelmina set in a mixture of MH and used with shades and including Scott 49* (CV $550), a very nice Queen Wilhelmina set with #83* and 83a** (CV $242). We also noted Scott 298-301* ($200). The collection appears mainly MNH from 1953 on. The semi-postals appear complete MH to 1953, except for B1-3 which are cancelled to order, MNH thereafter. The Legion sheets are both never hinged B1444-5a (CV$175). There is also a good showing of postage due stamps. Quality is very high throughout but some faults noted in some of the earlier material. Then there are pages of syncopated perfs for regular and semi-postal stamps, the complete air mails including the seagulls C13-4 (CV $140), the postage due missing only a few low-value items, the Cour Internationale de Justice officials and other valuable items not catalogued in Scott: a 1916 Prisoner of war stamp, a complete set of 1894 high value bulk franking stamps and a partial set of telegram stamps. Lets also mention pages of se-tenant groups from booklets and the semi-postal sheetlets. Quality is very high throughout. (Image)
