image Collection of First Day Covers, 1951 to 2014, with some earlier ones, all neatly displayed in black stock sheets in 13 thick binders (including 5 Lighthouse with matching slipcase). We counted 29 different silk Colorano cachets, as well as cachets from different makers such as H&E, Rose Craft, Cachet Craft, Art Craft and more. We noted an unusual commercial cachet from Marcel Bélanger in Montreal (with enclosure), some uncacheted early ones, se-tenant multiples, a few plate blocks, many special event covers (catalogue value between $5 and $15 each in Unitrade), as well as some quite recent postal stationery cards, etc. There are several hundreds in all (we counted over 200 in the 2007 to 2012 period alone), and one of the albums is devoted to material dated before 1970. The collection seems to have a high degree of completion from the late 1970s to 2014, with almost no duplication. Very clean collection (all stock sheets appear brand new). (Image)

image Extensive Collection of First Day Covers from 1946 to 2017, neatly displayed on homemade pages often accompanied with a photocopy of the back cover. The collection consists of over 3,000 FDCs based on an average of 160 covers per binder (18 binders plus a group of loose items). The period is well represented with almost no duplication (two sets of the Millenium issues) and a great mix of definitive and commemorative issues. We noted plate blocks, se tenant, special event covers and some philatelically cancelled covers (these slightly out of date). We noted some better issues such as the Regiment issue inscription plate block, Canada Post philatelic and numismatic covers, Picture Postage issue, Computer Vended Postage issue and more. Approximately 200 covers were issued before 1971 with cachets from companies such as Art Craft, Rose Craft, Cole Cover and H&E. A very clean collection that would not require much investment to reach completion. See scans for a glimpse of the content. (Image)

Quite elaborate, with only 500 ever produced by Artmaster, very fine. Original cost for these was $4.50 each, and should be worth a lot more now. (Image)
