image 1896 ½c black Precancelled Small Queen on Complete Newspaper, the "All Around Stamp Advertiser", being vol.1, no. 5, October 1896. The newspaper contains many stamp dealer and auction ads, price lists, etc. The ½c Small Queen is properly precancelled by a St Hyacynthe roller, and pays the newspaper rate. Small stain at left, and a horizontal tear across 3/4 of the top (not all that obvious at first), folded in half horizontally, with evidence of having been folded in half the other way. (Image)

image 1877 2c Small Queen on Complete Embossed Valentine Cover, mailed Ottawa FEB.14.1877 (St. Valentine's Day) and addressed locally. Franked by a deep green 2c Small Queen (probably affixed with glue, thus stained) tied by Ottawa fancy geometric cancel and paying the double weight drop letter rate. A lovely and scarce embossed cover, with a few insignificant small tears and overall light toning. Ex. Tong. (Image)

image 1901 Toronto to Ireland and Redirected, mailed Toronto (MAY.20.1901 Canada Exposition flag cancel) to Ireland, postage due "T10" plus "2" handstamps for double weight, plus the following datestamps: Athy (MAY.25), Kingstown (MAY.31, two different hammers, on front and on back) and finally Recess (JUN.1). The cover is franked with a 2c Numeral booklet single, paying the Empire rate. Open on three sides for display with small faults, still an interesting cover. Both sides are scanned online. (Image)

image Collection of 26 Roessler Dubious, Spurious or Fraudulent Covers, 1928-1934, includes a facsimile Yukon Airways postcard, two items with "London to London" cinderellas in red, a Hillig & Hoirus USA to Denmark cover that missed the flight and was sent surface, but still signed by both pilots, a fake R100 Montreal cover (with a genuine for comparison), 9 Maritime and Newfoundland Airways covers, as well as a section of their cinderellas and 9 other covers for flights that did not take place, or were too late for the flight. A fascinating group, part of the owner's gold medal Roessler exhibit at the 2017 Royale. Overall very fine and all scanned online. (Image)
