1851 9kr black Numeral Imperforate on Thin Blue Green Paper Error of Colour Forgery, tied to a small piece by a 4-ring numeral #87 (Mannheim), with expert signature and handstamps on back of stamp, which has been removed from piece and placed back with a hinge. The 9kr value would have normally been printed on lilac rose paper, but a very few were printed in the colour of the 6kr value. The stamp is accompanied by a 1938 certificate from Philatelistisches Laboratorium (Berlin, giving an opinion that it is genuine, with matching expert handstamp on back of stamp), a 2018 Sergio Sismondo certificate (giving an opinion that it is a forgery) and a 2019 Philatelic Foundation certificate (giving an opinion that it is a forgery). Neither of the two modern certificates explain as to why they deem it a forgery, and if it is, we feel it is an extremely well made one. Catalogue value for a genuine used stamp would be $1,300,000. A very desirable stamp, whether genuine or not, and would look great in any German States collection. (Image)
1875 1l red brown Hermes Head Imperforate, a mint never hinged marginal block of ten, with a vertical fold in the margin in between the third and fourth stamps. There is an interesting over-inking at right, resulting in a solid mass of colour instead of the detail seen in the other stamps. A nice classic multiple which would look great in an exhibit or advanced collection. (Image)

1852-1859 5c to 1 Lira Collection on Album Pages, with 46 stamps on 3 pages, includes a #7 (fresh with gum but slightly cut into outer frameline). 16 stamps are unused, with 11 having no gum (these with much lower c.v. per Scott Classic). Five items were not counted, two identified as forgeries, two which we could not confirm and a #12a in light grey (a proof?). A nice group for study or continuation. As usual, only a minority have 4 full margins. (Image)

1959 Group of 8 Different First Day Presentation Folders, each having a different stamp (with first day postmark) and a matching coloured metal engraving, with a rice paper insert explaining (in Japanese and in English) who the engraver is, the stamp issue, etc. Very fine appearance, but all have a few pieces of double sided tape from having been displayed (could be carefully removed). Scarce group with great eye appeal. (Image)
