1908 ½c to 20c Québec Tercentenary Set, with 20 mint stamps, all on a stock page, with ½c (x2), 1c (x2), 2c (x3), 5c (x2), 7c (x2), 10c (x3), 15c (x3) and 20c (x3). There is a mix of hinged and never hinged, but also some without gum, a few are stuck down to paper, and we note a few faults such as thins. Centering is overall fine, catalogue value is for all hinged only, see scan. (Image)
Old Time Exhibit of the 1908 Québec Tercentenary Issue, all neatly mounted on 21 hand-coloured and drawn quadrille pages, this exhibit includes two introduction pages, a mint set, and the following mint denominations: ½c (2 singles and 2 blocks), 1c (3 singles and 3 blocks), 2c (2 singles and 2 blocks), 5c (2 singles and a block), 7c (2 singles and a block), 10c (2 singles and a block), 15c (2 singles) and 20c (2 singles and a block) followed by a page showing used vertical pairs of all denominations, a page showing used blocks of the first 5 denominations, three pages show 6 different official souvenir patriotic post cards (all mailed and franked with either a pair of ½c or a 1c), a page with 14 used ½c (4 singles, 2 airs and a block of 8) with varieties and re-entries, a page with 17 used 1c (all singles and a pair) showing shades, hairlines and many more varieties, a page with 18 used 2c singles, showing many varieties, and finally 2 pages with 16 used 2c, showing a variety of socked on the nose c.d.s. RPO postmarks. A lovely and valuable collection, accompanied by 5 certificates from the 5 shows where this was exhibited, between 1940 and 1958. Rsv. (Image)
