Set of Used Consular Fee Stamps, with a set of 25c to $5 singles, each with Canadian Embassy c.d.s. postmarks. The $1 has the "deformed 1" variety. Also a 50c and a $2 used on pieces from passports. The 50c is on a lovely piece with DEC.4.1964 datestamp from the Office of the Canadian Government Trade Commission in Salisbury, Rhodesia. The $2 is also on a lovely piece with MAY.6.1966 datestamp from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico. The lot is accompanied by an unpublished article on the history of Consular Fee stamps, their use, etc., written in 1971 by the owner. A very fine lot, not often offered. (Image)
