image Extensive and Lovely Collection of First Day Covers, 1932 to 2017, all neatly displayed in 2-row Vario stock sheets, housed in 39 new green Uni-Safe binders with matching slip-cases (retail for these is around $20 each, for a total of $780 alone). The collection contains a total of 3,510 covers, based on an average of about 90 covers per binder. Over 900 of those are dated before 1971, and the collection has a good mix of definitives and commemoratives, and often will show a single, a se-tenant pair or block, plus a plate block, even for high denominations. We also counted about 178 Colorano silk covers, many cachet makers, lots of stamp varieties such as tagging, etc. Very clean collection and a great opportunity. (Image)

image Balance of Liptak Collection of First Day Covers, with many hundreds, in boxes, albums and loose. A nice accumulation, which were Andrew's latest purchases not yet written-up in his albums. Mostly unchecked by us but a glance reveals a wide variety of different material, from scarce to common. Majority are from the 1960s and 1970s (with some earlier and later), we note Canada Post replacement cachets, private makers such as Schering, mostly all addressed with some better destinations such as Jamaica, Poland, South Africa, etc. A real treasure trove and well worth careful inspection. Our scans only give a small taste. Ex. Liptak collection. (Image)
