1860 5c Domestic Rate Cover, mailed from Harrowsmith U.C (double broken circle in red dated JY 5, 1860 and earliest recorded date) to Whitby, with same day Kingston U.C transit on back in red. The cover is franked with a strip of three plus two singles of the 1c rose Queen Victoria, cancelled with 6 strikes of an italic and serifed "PAID" handstamp in red, plus another free strike (just to make sure). An 1864 double-weight registered cover from Montreal franked with a vertical pair of 1c plus two 5c (unfortunately stained and faulty) and another six covers franked with a 5c, including two cross-border double rates (one on a Mourning cover). Group of Four "First Cents" Issue Covers, with a 5c (Hamilton duplex AUG.24.1865) with "Canada West Farmers Mutual and Stock Insurance Company" corner card, 10c deep lilac (partial 4-ring 37, Québec broken circle AUG.19.1861) with an embossed corner card for the Russell's Hotel, 10c brown (Toronto duplex AUG.17.1866) to Massachusetts, and a 12½c (Montreal duplex FEB.8.1861) to Taunton England (ex. 1892 Small Queen Illustrated Advertising Cover, a yellow cover mailed DEC.14.1892 from the Merchant's Protective Collecting Association in Hamilton to Montreal, handstamped "NOT FOUND / RETURN / TO / WRITER" and returned to Hamilton on JAN.5.1893. The cover depicts a large eye. Open on two sides and ex. Ron Brigham (with his red handstamp on back), very fine, with great eye appeal. (Image)

1897 Illustrated Advertising Cover, mailed with 3c Small Queen tied by a neat "London, Hamilton & Toronto / M.C." dated West / NOV.4.1897 to Toronto. The advertising is for the D. W. Karn & Co. Organs and Pianos in Woodstock ("The Best in the World"). Cover illustrations done by the London Printing and Lithograph Co. and is fully advertised on both sides.
