We have uploaded many scans online but recommend a close look to better appreciate the huge value within. Owners paid $13,000 for the new albums and pages alone, and the lot comes with the lovely book cases seen in picture, although to ease on shipping they can be omitted. A wonderful and rare opportunity for someone to start or continue an extensive worldwide collection, or for a dealer to sell broken up. Please contact us for shipping quotes, we'd be happy to help. image Group of 4 Topical Collections, starting with a group of 4 Canadian covers dated between 1858 and 1877 as well as 4 modern Ireland stamps, all related to the life story of Dr William Canniff who became the first permanent medical health officer for Toronto. The second lot is on Canadian Pacific Railway employee sketches and consists of one postcard featuring the sketch of a telegraph messenger and two Canadian Pacific telegram covers. The third group, made up of 26 covers from 1966 to 2003 is the result of an effort to obtain postmarks from locations considered the furthest cardinal points in Canada and we noted postmarks from Eureka (N.W.T), Alert, (N.W.T) Burwash (Yukon), Pouch Cove (Nfld) and more. The last topical collection made of approximately 50 covers featuring Alexander Graham Bell and the telephone. While we noted some covers from Australia, Ceylon, Luxembourg, Israel and New Zealand, most are from Canada featuring the Bell stamp #274, with different cachets, etc. Interesting lot overall fine to very fine. image Lifetime Collection of Esperanto Covers, quite specialized and includes about 400 items (majority are covers or cards) nicely written-up on pages in four volumes, organized alphabetically by the city where the World Congress took place. There is a great variety in this collection, including many special postmarks, event covers, FDCs, slogan cancels, stationery, a few mint stamps or souvenir sheets, an original specialized "Esperanto" album, cinderellas, maximum cards and more. We note better early items such as a 1911 France to Budapest postcard bearing an Esperanto cinderella, 1937 Netherlands special cancel on cover, 1955 Bologna seal on postcard, etc. A real treasure trove and ideal to build on and could easily be an award winning exhibit.
