Consignment Remainder, with tens of thousands of used stamps from the 1860s to 1990s. We estimated that approximately 70% of the stamps are off paper in bags or glassines and the rest of the stamps on paper, are stored in large envelopes. We noted a good mix of commemoratives and definitives with also some back of the book, precancels, postal meter cut outs, and much more. Inspect.

Second has back of the book issues including air mail, special delivery, postage dues, officials, parcel post, and a few more. Very high total catalogue value (owner counted over $19,000), with duplication of usually no more than a dozen, with some faults noted, still overall fine. image Mostly Used Collection on Steiner Pages to 2005, in two binders. Few stamps before 1916, then about 60-70% complete to the end. Some years have more mint, many booklet panes and souvenir sheets are mint so there is good face value throughout. A nice clean collection mostly fine or better, some faults noted on earlier material. (Image)

image Mint and Used Stamp Collections and Stock, from the 1870s to 1990s. We noted 8 stock pages with over one hundred early classics, one large envelope with mint stamps on album pages (1980s). Also included is a collection and stock of precanceled stamps sorted by State and city with moderate duplication housed in 4 stockbooks, one stockbook filled with perfins sorted alphabetically, an accumulation of stationary cut-outs as well as proprietary stamps, documentary stamps and more. Also noted is over fifty first day covers, a few thousand stamps in glassines as well as loose off paper. During our cursory look we detected a light smell of tobacco mentioned for the record. Overall nice lot worthy of a closer inspection. See scans for a taste. (Image)
