image Mint and Used Collection in a Minkus Album, 1855 to 1978, starts off strong (first three pages catalogue well over $3,000), with many shades, nice postmarks and high value items (note three #2, two #7, six #12, etc), postage dues, officials, coils, a few booklet panes, many complete sets, noted #197-212 (mint, $692), and lots of good material. Mix of mint and used, with some never hinged in mounts and only a few small faults in the early material, still overall fine to very fine. Inspect to better appreciate, many scans online. (Image)

image Group of Ten Early Imperforate Canton Local Issues, the first stamp on the scan is thinned and one other has a nick at top, else a fine appearing group, which we offer as is, as we cannot guarantee their authenticity. All are scanned online. A great reference group, even better if any of them turn out good. (Image)

image Advanced Collection of Early Issues, 1846 to 1905, all mounted on quadrille pages and starts with a few Canton locals (#2L6 and 1L4, the latter with heavy paper hinge), then a group of 13 unframed Cross Imperforates (with shades and postmarks), followed by two pages full of imperforate Helvetia issues (x62, with many shades, some nice postmarks, etc). The next six pages involve perforated Seated Helvetias (again with many shades, varieties, nice postmarks, etc.), and the last ten pages show Numerals (including what the owner stated as being on white paper), Standing Helvetias (these with many varieties including papers such as white papers, shades and printing flaws) and UPU issues (these are used, with two sets of the first printing, and the two low values of the reprints). A tremendous collection for the specialist, with many better and scarce material, a great opportunity. Overall quality is quite nice, with some very fine four margin stamps. We estimate the collection to catalogue over $20,000, see scans for an idea. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection, 1907 to 1997, all neatly displayed on quadrille pages, with a mix of mint and used (sometimes one of each), and appears to be mint only from about 1960 to the end, never hinged from the mid-1970s and on. The collection appears to be close to complete, and includes many extra items such as many souvenir sheets, tête-bêche pairs, some nice used multiples, plenty of varieties and shades, and most, if not all of the semi-postals and airmails in period plus four pages of postage dues, including the better early ones. Many better items were noted, such as the 1945 Peace set (mint hinged), 1936 Pro Patria souvenir sheet (mint hinged), and many more, too many to list. A nice, clean collection, see online scans for an idea, inspect to better appreciate. We estimate the catalogue value to be close to $8,000. (Image)
