image Collection of Penny Reds and Other Queen Victoria Issues, housed in two Godden albums and a stockbook. One of the album is very neatly written-up with detailed descriptions of the plate numbers, perforations, shades, etc for most perforated QV issues. We note a plate collection only missing 7 plate numbers (including 225 and 77), includes some higher values (some with faults) and many better plate numbers throughout. Very clean collection. The second album is a little different in that the focus is on postmarks of all kinds, with mostly numeral duplex on several hundreds of Penny red stamps (mostly sorted by duplex number), covers and pieces but also some c.d.s. cancels on KEVII issues. The stockbook contains a plate reconstruction of the Penny Red and the 1880 1d brown red (both are about half complete), many 1880 1d brown reds with Liverpool squared circles from 1880 and 1881 (scarce), and a few other odds and ends including five Penny Blacks (three or fewer margins) and several imperforate Penny Reds. Very high catalogue value, see scans for an idea, inspect to better appreciate. (Image)

image Extensive Mint and Used Collection in Four Albums, all neatly mounted on home made pages with a mix of mint and used, including some never hinged. Volumes I and II are Greece proper from 1861-1973, complete for regular issues except for a few missing stamps only. Volume III contains Air Mails, Postage Dues and Charity issues and basically also complete except for a few missing overprinted "Campaign" issues. Volume IV contains extensive Ionian Islands, Italian Occupation of Corfu, Crete, Epirus and other occupations of France, Austria, Italy, etc. A lovely and clean collection, with high quality throughout, except perhaps for some of the early Hermes Heads which might not all have four margins. Some certificates are included. We catalogued all four volumes up to 1940 only, which came to above $18,000, but did not count all stamps where there was a possibility of forged overprints, or fake cancellations (which would otherwise add a considerable amount to this total). We have also not counted stamps which were not issued, essays, experimental perforations not listed in Scott, etc. A great opportunity to acquire a wonderful collection, which also includes "The Control Numbers and the Classification of the Stamps of the Large Hermes Heads" by John G. Coundouros (2016) as well as some Hellas catalogues from 2006 and 2012, an "Identification Charts for the Large Hermes Heads" by Kaitatzidis and a conversion chart for catalogue numbers from 6 different catalogues.
