image Mint and Used Collection in a Thick Scott Album, 1849 to 1993, starts with a good selection of early used, with many shades and postmark interest (including nice c.d.s. cancels), and we start to see some mint stamps in the lined Sower issues, then a mix of mint and used, then mostly mint from the 1950s to the end. We note better such as #s 197 (lightly hinged $440), a group of Lyon WWII local overprints, coils, souvenir sheets, a few booklets and more. The back of the book section is quite strong, with many high value semi-postals noting mint #s B7, B24-26, B27, B28-B30, B31-33, B34, B36-38, B43 and many others (see scans), many early Red Cross complete booklets, good air mails including a very fine used #C17, good postage dues, etc. A quite valuable collection, worthy of a close examination to better appreciate the value. Some of the early stamps may have faults, else overall fine or better. (Image)
