image Large Old Time Collection of Small Queen Stamps and Covers, with many hundreds of stamps (1c to 50c values) many having been selected for postmarks, plus another 250 or so covers, all mounted on hundreds of pages. A quick look at the stamps reveals a good variety of different denominations, postmarks, with c.d.s., squared circles, corks, flags, registered, duplex, etc. Saw a few coloured and precancels as well. Also saw some multiples in pairs, strips or blocks, as well as a few earlier or later stamps here and there. The covers represent a good variety as well, with rates, postmarks and frankings, including mostly 3c, but 5c Trans Atlantic, nice combinations including with Jubilee or many ½c values, etc., also includes 13 stampless era covers from Ontario and Québec. Condition varies, but overall fine. See scans for a taste, better yet inspect to better appreciate. (Image)

image Advanced Collection of Mint in 8 Deluxe Lighthouse Stockbooks, starts off with Jubilees and continues on to about 2008. The owner lists about 17 early stamps which are hinged and notes that the rest (thousands) are all never hinged. Many complete sets including Scroll, Arch, War, Peace, etc, with light duplication of some. The highlight of this collection is the number of identified varieties (from the 60s and 70s to the end), with shades, dies, tagging, perforations, fluorescent papers, etc. We note coils, booklet panes, se-tenant items, blocks and corner blocks, complete booklets (many in the modern era), souvenir sheets (also many), etc. We counted 58x $1 Vancouver stamps with many varieties, a good collection of Caricature stamps with varieties (note a nicely mis-perforated block of the 1c), one volume has only Centennials with many varieties, and more. We counted the face value of all stamps from 1976 to the end which came to $1602.18. Nice overall quality, with a very high catalogue value. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection, 1917 to 1987 in three Lighthouse hingeless albums with slipcases. Mixed used and mint (with many NH) and often one of each mint and used in different albums. Strengths are in the back of the book, with overprinted G and OHMS (these both mint and used) as well as perforated OHMS including some early used 5-hole issues, mint and used (both) special delivery issues, etc. Also note a good holding of Centennials and era issue tagging, paper and perforation varieties, not only those pictured by Lighthouse, but with much additional material on Lighthouse stock pages, including plate blocks, dollar values, etc. Looks to be complete from 1917 to 1987, except for missing Admirals, and the albums have pages starting from 1851. Well worth viewing this one in person to better appreciate. (Image)
