image Mostly Mint Collection in Five Lighthouse Hingeless Albums, 1851 to 2011, all with matching slipcases and left intact, as received. Starts with mint and used classics (faults in this period, but still many good items), with shades, printings, etc. Jubilees are mint to the 50c and includes some NH (marked on pages). Close to complete mint from Jubilees on to the 1950s, with complete mint Leafs, Numerals, Edwards, Québecs, coils, and so on. Extensive Admirals, starting with a complete basic set (many NH and VF), followed by War Tax, coils and many shades and printings. Back of the book is mostly complete mint also. About 99% complete MNH from 1950 to 2011, including tagging, booklets, souvenir sheets, perforation and printing varieties, all as listed by Lighthouse. We note many good items such as tagged and untagged 1970 Christmas centre blocks, Mammals and Fruit Trees varieties, Wilding and Centennial precancelled warning strips of 20, many Centennial varieties, and much more. We estimate the face value of this era alone to be well in excess of $1,500. A lovely and extensive collection, worthy of a close look and great for continuation of the early period. Enormous catalogue value and nice overall quality from the Small Queens to the end. (Image)

image Collection on 36 Lighthouse Pages, 1851 to 1951 including back of the book. This mostly mint collection was unfortunately once damaged by water and is filled with valuable stamps, which were mostly all taken out of their mounts to dry, then placed back in. Some have resulted in unused (no gum) condition, some still have some gum which is mostly glazed by the mounts, some have gum staining, etc. Better items noted includes unused #4 (2 shades) and a #9 all with faults, unused #18 (fine), a #20 proof (very fine), a nice group of unused Large Queens (this is where most of the good value resides), complete unused Jubilees to the $5 (some have stains, but noted some good items such as the $5), unused F3, and basically complete from Small Queens to 1951, including back of the book. This collection would have catalogued quite high, and will need careful inspection to see the extent of the damage, which varies drastically. The collection has been gone through to establish a "market value" ($19,205) which was used to perform an insurance claim. Sold as is, see scans online for an idea of the general appearance. (Image)

image Valuable Collection of Mint and Used Better Material, 1852 to 1950s, with regular issues starting at #4 (with Greene cert.), Cents, Large Queens, Small Queens, mint Jubilees to the 20c, mint Québec set, 18 different mint Admirals, Arch coils, Medallion coils, Scroll, mint high values, etc. Also mostly mint back of the book, with air mails, special delivery, a mint never hinged E3b (with certificate), Officials, and more. We note a large quantity of never hinged throughout, many very fine or better centered stamps and there are also certificates for the mint never hinged #s 35, 43 and 56. A lovely group, with very nice quality throughout and very high catalogue value. All scanned online. Rsv. (Image)

image Valuable Mint Collection in a Lighthouse Hingeless Album, starts with #8, good Cents issues, good Large and Small Queens, Jubilees to the $1, plus $3, #s 66-73, 89-98, 74-84, 96-103, 104-122 and much more, close to complete to 1985, including back of the book. We note many additional items that were not counted, such as plate proofs or imperforate stamps. At first there is a mix of hinged and never hinged, and the latter are clearly indicated on the pages in pencil - no premium was added for any of the early NH items. There is a mix of fine and very fine centered stamps, but we noticed a higher than usual percentage of the latter, with many choice stamps, even in the higher valued ones. A very nice collection, which we have only scanned 13 pages online, and suggest viewing to better appreciate the quality and value included here. (Image)

image Valuable Stock of Early Used Canada, all in seven stock sheets, crammed with valuable material. We note Cents, Large Queens, Jubilees (including $1, $2, $3), lots of Québecs to 20c (5 complete sets), Numerals, Edwards, Admirals, Scrolls, many registration stamps (incl. 8c), and much more. Probably lots of shades, papers or other varieties not counted. The seventh page was added later and not counted in the total catalogue value, and it contains even more goodies, including a #7, and on to the 1930s, which if catalogued would certainly add thousands more to the total. An overall good quality lot, with some faults as expected but overall clean and fine or better and a great opportunity. All pages are scanned online. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection in a Thick Harris Album, 1859 to 2015, stuffed with many hundreds of stamps, starting with mostly used Cents, Large and Small Queens (note a 3c LQ with lovely APR.6.1868 datestamp), Jubilees are mixed mint and used to the $2 (missing the $1 but with 2 shades of the 50c, mint 20c, etc), mixed mint and used from then on to the end, and probably 90% complete to the 1980s, then about 60% complete to the end. We note many souvenir sheets, extra shades, some duplication, some varieties, tagging, nice c.d.s. cancels and back of the book is average except for additional material such as many pages of revenues, as well as provinces, including mostly mint NB, NS and PEI, plus a good collection of Newfoundland, from Pence-on with many good quality better stamps, again mixed mint and used. The back of the album contains some high denomination mint souvenir sheets and blocks such as Star Trek items, $5 flag and many P stamps. Early mint is unchecked by us as to hinging, but most mint are in (closed) mounts. Some faults in the early material still a nice overall collection worthy of continuation. See our many online scans for an idea, better yet view in person for a better appreciation. (Image)
