EGYPT MOSTLY USED CLASSICS ON STOCKCARDS Selection of several dozen small stockcards stuffed with mostly used stamps issed between 1865 to 1930. Many of these small cards hold up to about twenty stamps, We note that the first issued is sparsely represented and then beginning with the 1867 to 1906 Sphinx & Pyramed issues, the quantities increase only to diminish rapidly into the late 1920s. In addition, we spotted a few mint stamps interspersed with the mostly used stamps. Careful viewing might be rewarded with some interesting cancels.

POSTAL HISTORY SELECTION A selection of about 500 covers, postal stationery items, and picture postcards and stampless covers all in individual sleeves from early 19th century to about 1950. We found a very interesting group of Postage Due items. Among these, we note two items: J6 and J7, each on a separate cover front. One of the most attractive items that we admired was Scott# B11 on an unaddressed philatelic exposition cover. The stampless covers include an 1804 cover from Paris to the prefrecture Police in the Loire, this cover is follwed by an 1806 cover with straightline "Belley" cancel to Paris and finally among the stampless we note an unusual straightline "L'Isle Bouchard" cancel to Paris. The largest group of group of covers span the years from about 1850 to 1870. These include some attractive Ceres, President Napoleon and Emperor Napoleon issues. Most of these are the rather common rates, however, there are many better usages as well. Finally, we note a small section of French Colonial items, especially a group of five Zanzibar postal stationery cards. Also we note the four formula picture postcards from French Equatorial Africq depicting General DeGualle during WWII. The last comment about the French material is that there are a few Proofs such a Deluxe Proof of Scott# 555. Actually, there are nearly 100 items from other countries included with quite a few postal stationerey items from New South Wales and New Zealand along with a group of Italy. No matter whether the item is from France or elsewhere, the vast majority are late 19th century to about 1920. Only a handfull are earlier and even fewer are more recent.
