German States impressive two-volume collection, a collector’s extensive study in two Lindner albums, representing a detailed examination of the stamps of Baden through Wurttemberg, as well as the North German Confederation; the collector made great efforts to acquire better postmarks, and various notations highlight plate flaws and other interesting attributes are noted, enormous catalogue value in the high five figures, if not more, even if one omits the obviously faulty or suspect postmarks, typical varied quality as expected in such classic collections, though better than most often seen, mostly fine used, with many nice examples to be found throughout; a strong and worthwhile collection of this challenging area, replete with opportunities for further research and expansion, or to be broken down for sale.

Ireland 1922/35 specialized King George V overprint study mounted on carefully-annotated quadrille pages, presenting a detailed examination of the King George V overprints of Ireland, beginning with the February 1922 Printing, which is present in singles as well as multiples, including one pair identified as a 9d double overprint, one albino, and several control blocks, proceeding to two mint sets of the Dollard overprints on Seahorses, including color shades, continuing through to the 1935 Waterlow overprints, with printings in between being represented in mint multiples, many color shades, and often identifying small varieties such as thinner overprints and broken letters, noting in particular a set of three mint 1922 Thom overprints on Seahorses, including an additional two showing overprint varieties, 1925-7 Bradbury-Wilkinson Seahorses showing both narrow and wide date types, and much more. In total over 100 control pairs and strips are included, with dozens more multiples, many positional, including of high-values, the album and page edges show signs of toning, which appears to have miraculously avoided the stamps, chiefly fine, and in general possessing impressively bright color, worthy of expansion and continuation.

Israel mint collection,in four Lindner hingeless albums, beginning with #16 n.h. with tabs, note #10-14 hinged with tabs, #22 souvenir sheet n.h., #25 with tab n.h., #28-30 with tabs n.h., #33-4 with tabs n.h., #55 with tab n.h., appears complete then to mid-1970s when the odd gap begins to appear, those we spot-checked all being never hinged, a third album begins again with #1-9 n.h. without tabs, #31 with tabs and in tete-beche pairs (mix of hinged and n.h.), this volume then complete also to the mid-1970s, the fourth volume with over 100 first day covers and souvenir sheets, including a #22 FDC, a nicely-presented and chiefly very fine.

Manchukuo complete collection in small album, in "Postage Stamps of Manchutikuo complete" album, mounted on typed pages, apparently complete and almost exclusively mint, the used exception being the key 1934 15f rose Emperor Kang Tah, a spot-check suggests a mix of hinged and never hinged examples, the album with some foxing to pages resulting in some toned gum and perfs, yet many bright and sound examples to be found, a nice collection in a charming vintage album.
