Collection and Ranges. 1847-68 collection of covers and envelopes housed in a large stockbook including 1847 entire to London with 'paid at/ auckland' handstamp in red, 1857 entire with slightly unclear 'paid/ at / petre new zealand' crowned circle in red, 1859 entire with 'petre/ 2mr2/1859/new-zealand' double-arc datestamp and handstruck "2" alongside in black, 1862 front with 'saved from the wreck of/ the colombo' handstamp, a range of covers with "too late" markings, a range of envelopes bearing the 2d. local rate using various issues, a group showing the 6d. rate to the U.K. using various issues, a few double-rate 1/- covers, etc., mixed condition but a useful assembly (Image1)
