Lot 62 - USA Scott 499a Used Vertical Strip of 3, Imperforate Horizontal on Piece w/2021 Crowe Cert and 1995 PSE Cert - 2021 Crowe cert states "genuine and used on a small piece; the strip tied by a Bronx NY duplex cancellation. The top stamp of strip with some surface scraping and the bottom stamp with a rounded corner at the bottom right." No indication or blind perfs. Scott does not price this used. Sterling Stamps announces their second auction of the year on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at Noon EST, with pre-auction bidding ending at 11am (EST). This auction offers many nice singles, sets, covers, specialty items, and collections and accumulations. We are still offering low start bids and a competitive buyer’s premium (15%) and never overcharge for shipping!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Nice selection of individual US stamps highlighted by a Scott 499a used strip of 3 with two certificates. This strip is unpriced in Scott catalog and may be unique. Also you will find used Scott 1's and 2's, unused 39's, cancel accumulations of Scott 68, 69, 71, and 73, several dollar value Columbians, as well as Scott C13-C15 mint blocks of 4, a couple C18 plate blocks, and a pair of nice revenue collections.
  • Canada selection of singles preceded by interesting groups of Canadian Province forgeries and a nice selection of War Tax stamps.
  • Nice selection of key Germany souvenir sheets.
  • A Great Britain section with many £ values.
  • Large Russia collections and accumulations.
  • Our usual foreign collections and accumulations.
