602 CVR   imageTwo Ring #4 - Watson's Corners on Cover, a locally made obliterator, which Lacelle lists as being used from June 1870 to Jan 1877. This cover was mailed on JUN.30.1870 (free strike) to Kingston (JUL.2 receiver on back) alongside a JUN.30 Lanark transit. The 3c Small Queen (early use) is properly tied by this scarce obliterator, which is significantly larger than the officially-made 2-ring 4 from Halifax. Small tears on back and crease, still a scarce cover, belonging in either a fancy cancel or 2-ring numeral collection. Ex Michael Rixon.

606 O/CVR   imageAccumulation of RPO Cancels, 1880s to 1960s, consisting of more than 250 stamps and 16 covers on six double-sided black stock sheets. We noted a bit of everything here, from Small Queens through the Leafs, Numerals and Jubilees, the Edwards and Admirals then into the 50s and 60s with both commemoratives and definitives represented. The collector set aside every RPO cancel that came his way from other collections, but there is no particular order to the material and the contents are unpicked for individual lines and direction markings - some finds await the diligent RPO collector or dealer.
